International DJ’s playing in Melbourne

Killing Time Bar is up there in my list of amazing finds. I found it whilst wondering down Chapel Street in Melbourne feeling a little bit lost as it’s a new place, new people and my amazing friends and family are on the other side of the world.

Now what really makes me feel good no matter what are those special noises especially those minimal noises. My little ears reacted rapidly…in a split second I naturally honed into this naughty technotic beat… I started walking backwards towards the noise and found myself in a cool looking space with funky seating, cow print effect, a tree carved into one of the walls, an old horse from a childrens ride spinning from the ceiling, funky art work, a wall of DJ ‘s signatures and a sweet litte garden just past the bar.

I met the creator and founder of Killing Time Bar, Cam and he’s just such an interesting and ceative character, friendly like all the staff in there and even the customers that were in there made you feel welcome, this place is special.

Cam has built this magical corner of the world himself minus the plumbing and the electricals, his good friends sorted that amazing job out. The place is made up of  wonderful treasures Cam has collected all his life and make things even more interesting it’s made up of recycled materials which is very inspiring…get your self to the op shops… you just don’t know what treasures you might find.

Many world known DJ’s come and play here Markus Homm, Gregor Treshor, DjT, Nick Curly,Reboot, Brock Ferrar, Timmus, Robert Babicz, Tim Green…need I say any more… the list is endless and will definitely continue to grow…love to see Sven Vath , Lee Foss, Maya Jane Coles, Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer, Nina Kraviz…and a few more play there…so if you happen to know these guys or you are them and you’re in  Melbourne don’t forget th best place to be killing time.
